Disappointing outing
As a big fan of the previous GLWG and GBWG releases, I snapped this one up as soon as it was released and found myself very disappointed. The other games, while not particularly difficult, did at least require an element of strategy and planning. Not so for this one. So far its pretty boring, I hate to say.
Im ok with the portrait only (would prefer the option to do landscape, but its not a deal breaker, particularly with the tiny maps this game has), and Im fine with no new units. But its pretty inexcusable for the AI to be as awful as it is. It would be one thing to have AI that cant fight its way out of a paper bag if there were multi-player, or even skirmish where I could slant the odds toward the AI, but this game only has a single player campaign, and frankly, its not really worth my time due to the extreme lack of any challenge.
I really cant recommend this game.
