Its a good idea, poorly executed
(Now this is all the faults. I still enjoyed myself despite it) You got your units; navy, vehicle, infantry and air support. You fight your way through 60 maps, upgrade your soldiers and put your strategy to the test. All 60 maps seem very similar, upgrading your soldier are easy and after the first 20-30 levels youve upgraded your troops enough. Not to mention I found myself hoarding money for 3 turns and buying a cruiser, bomber or artillery. Id take out the hq or general and finish the map by 8 to 10 turns. The ranges they have on the OP (over powered) classes was ridiculous and only certain classes were able to attack or actually do any damage to which made this even easier. And there is no multiplayer. I hated the system that was used in the first game and enjoyed this one but when I found myself without the multiplayer I down graded just so I could pass and play with a friend. I think the system is great, but even the weakest of players may need to play on hard all the way through just to grasp a little more sense of accomplishment. And for completionists, youll find youll get all medals but two by the time youre done and realize just how crazy the last medal is. I love this series and I will eagerly be waiting for the 3rd where they will hopefully have better maps that feel more adventures and tactical then the plain circular maps they seem to be fond of. Thats if they make a 3rd. All that said, I did waste some good time on this, and never found myself putting it down. Its easy but still a good time waster.
