Fun Game To Play

Very nice game, just like the original. Been playing strategy games since the 80s, and this one gets my vote. Not sure why this game got such negative ratings... maybe they should stick to first person shooters and Candy Crush and leave turn-based strategy to strategists

Not worth buying

They seriously dumbed this game down from the first one. Way too easy, not worth $3.

I love the entire GLWG/GBWG series

Please add Game Center with Achievements as advertised in the "whats new" section of the AppStore . Also, why is the game played vertically now? Please fix these bugs or mistakes and I will give a 5 star rating.

Great game

A great game all in all.... fun new units and great character voices

Great game

The game is great and I bought it right away thanks to it including everything without in app purchases. My only complaint is that it seems to be slow and stutters when panning around / zooming, especially compared to gbwg. Also I didnt even hear about it for a month after release so you may wish to advertise it more in the App Store!

Its too easy

The game was way too easy. If you upgrade your "guys" as you go there is really no challenge. The first one had a few puzzles and scenarios that I was hoping for in this version. I kept wait for the hard part but then it was over. Disappointed.

Warning! Lazy attempt to Cash-in on a Quality Franchise!

This is the only app review I have ever felt the need to make: this "sequel" is basically just a lazy attempt to milk the franchise. I loved the other war games they made, but playing this will feel like you are just re-playing a less satisfying version of GLWG or GBWG. GBWG

Its a good idea, poorly executed

(Now this is all the faults. I still enjoyed myself despite it) You got your units; navy, vehicle, infantry and air support. You fight your way through 60 maps, upgrade your soldiers and put your strategy to the test. All 60 maps seem very similar, upgrading your soldier are easy and after the first 20-30 levels youve upgraded your troops enough. Not to mention I found myself hoarding money for 3 turns and buying a cruiser, bomber or artillery. Id take out the hq or general and finish the map by 8 to 10 turns. The ranges they have on the OP (over powered) classes was ridiculous and only certain classes were able to attack or actually do any damage to which made this even easier. And there is no multiplayer. I hated the system that was used in the first game and enjoyed this one but when I found myself without the multiplayer I down graded just so I could pass and play with a friend. I think the system is great, but even the weakest of players may need to play on hard all the way through just to grasp a little more sense of accomplishment. And for completionists, youll find youll get all medals but two by the time youre done and realize just how crazy the last medal is. I love this series and I will eagerly be waiting for the 3rd where they will hopefully have better maps that feel more adventures and tactical then the plain circular maps they seem to be fond of. Thats if they make a 3rd. All that said, I did waste some good time on this, and never found myself putting it down. Its easy but still a good time waster.

Finally, more levels!

To those who don’t know this game: It’s a turn-baed strategy game where you collect money to buy units (army, air, navy) to fight a computer opponent. You have three difficulty levels to learn and experiment. You can collect points to upgrade your units and also try to beat your previous best scores (you try to win in as few turns as possible). So, there’s plenty of challenges to master in this game, and that’s why this is truly my most favorite game ever on the iPad. Plus, it’s cute! Zoom in into the units to see the sniper scratch his butt occasionally. The original (first) game of this series was “Geat Little War Game”, then came “Great Big War Game” with new units and a few new tactical rules. This, GLWG2, is “just” an extension of the original game, with 60 new levels. The first levels are, as usual, easier “learning” levels, but it quickly gets more interesting. I do not agree with those who give 1 star for “lazy attempt at cash-in”. These are 60 new levels, and I’m gladly paying a few bucks for that, as it entertains me for many hours. The only downside for me to this, and the previous games, is that, while playing only on the “Hard” level, I still manage to win most levels at the first attempt. They need to be harder!

Fun

Not as good as the other games but fun

Why no vs mode

Campaign was good. Just wondering why no vs mode like all the others? And I like how u could change the colors n make ur flag. That was cool n the other one. And I liked the skulls.

Great game!

Would be great to see some more levels released. Great interface, great upgrades.

Crashes at 59 every time

I love the game but it is a little short and it crashes at lvl 59 each time. Plz fix

Fun game

But it crashes at level 15 at day 8 so hope you can fix it

Great game, but far too easy.

Ive played all previous games and for some reason the AI in this game has clearly been reduced, to the point where it quickly gets a bit boring and repetitive, even on the highest (Hard) difficulty setting. The developers have also removed any and all reference to plot, which they had in prior games in the form of the hapless General. Overall, this is really more of a Map Expansion Back, rather than a sequel. Again, solid game play, but it seems like the developers are looking for more of a quick cash influx than anything else.

Great game although

This is by far one the best games I ever played .. But repeating the same mission will get a little boring ( kill the enemy general or destroy the HQ) ... Its my top game but plzz put diffrent mission types also multiplayer :) ...

Why?!

Why is this game designed to only be played vertically? Why is it not in HD? I love Great Big War -- its my favorite game on iPad, but this game is an inexplicable step backwards. Why?

Fun Game!

This is a fun game. And all the comments in the game are funny.

I agree epic faillllll!

I thought this game would be different if any does changes and I mean any I would buy.

The first sequel Ive ever seen that took away features

The first version is much better. They took away a lot of the strategy by removing features they already had. Ive never seen a game do that and Ive been playing since pong. The biggest thing that is gone is the fog of war. This makes it easier to plan but totally takes away surprises. Next, you cant run out of fuel or ammo. That means less planning, less strategy. And then whole units are gone too. No more scout or engineer. This just takes away a lot of the challenge and fun. Im hoping they might add them back as purchases, that would renew the whole game. It doesnt seem like that would be hard since they already had them. Good enough to plat though. Just a big disappointment from the first one..
